Minnesota officials are gearing up to release wasp warriors to combat the destructive emerald ash borer in a remote area of the state. A biological control facility in Brighton, Mich. serves as a base camp for the production of thousands of tiny, stingless wasps each week.
YESTERDAY:
See how Great Lakes researchers are mobilizing different species of wasps to manage the invasive, tree-eating emerald ash borer.
I own a scout camp in Wexford County, Michigan, about l2 miles north of Cadillac, Michigan. There are two large white ash trees on the properity that appear to still be healthy. Is it possible to get some
of these wasps, and release them on these ash trees?
