Current State’s last weekly environmental segment featured an attention-getting study from the University of Michigan Energy Institute. The institute’s John DiCicco said it found that biofuels are not, as often touted, carbon neutral. That is, the emissions from biofuels like ethanol are not entirely reabsorbed by plant life.
Biofuels supporters have taken issue with the report.
