Having clean, safe drinking water is something that many of us take for granted, especially because in Michigan, we’re surrounded by around 20 percent of the world’s fresh surface water. But even in the Great Lakes region, clean drinking water isn’t guaranteed, as news stories from Flint, Michigan, and Waukesha, Wisconsin this month prove.
