Chicago Mayor Richard Daley prompts an interesting question: Is chemical or biological pollution the greater threat to Lake Michigan?
Daley challenged Michigan’s attorney general Thursday to criminally investigate the Kalamazoo River oil spill, saying that “oil is worse than carp.”
The mayor apparently is smarting over attempts by Michigan and other Great Lakes states’ repeated attempts to sue Chicago to close the city’s Sanitary and Ship Canal. They want to avoid the spread of voracious carp that biologist fear will dramatically alter the Great Lakes ecosystem. Check out what Daley has to say here.
