Water diversion heats up in Milwaukee

Organizations from across the Great Lakes region are converging in Milwaukee for Great Lakes Week. Great Lakes Echo commentator Gary Wilson is reporting from this year’s conference.

He says two of the major issues are low lake levels and water diversion. Hear his report:

  1. The Michigan Republicans will be happy to support the Great Lakes water diversion outside the GL basin for Wisconsin using Michigan’s no-deposit trash water containers. Nestle’ Ice Mountain will also be happy to load up tanker ships of Michigan’s trout streams for delivery to Wisconsin as really big no-deposit water containers. How many tanker ships of Michigan’s GL water does Wisconsin need per week? Michigan Republicans will support anti-environmental jobs to help Wisconsin.
