Facebook mapped what its users say they are most thankful for, according to Mother Jones.

Here’s how the Great Lakes states fared:

  • Minnesota – fall
  • Wisconsin – thunderstorms
  • Illinois – mother and father-in-law
  • Indiana – freedom of speech
  • Ohio – children’s laughter
  • Michigan – electricity
  • Pennsylvania – country music
  • New York – apartment

Hmmmm…perhaps Minnesota, Wisconsin and even Michigan can be credited for an environmental take on this question.

But didn’t anyone notice all that freshwater nearby?

Perhaps absence is what prompts thanks. The map shows that Texas, Arizona and New Mexico are most thankful for rain.

But how about parched California? People there are thankful for YouTube.
