The City of Detroit granted DTE Energy approval to move forward with plans to turn a 10-acre vacant parcel of land into an urban solar power array. It will be one of the largest of its kind in the country.

  1. Once again, DTE Energy is mindlessly wasting land to build solar arrays. There is no need to take up valuable open space when there are thousands of acres of industrial rooftops and parking lots which would be very suitable for solar energy.
