Great Lakes Echo is interested in the medium of audio–specifically, the podcast.

We’re hosting a variety of Great Lakes-themed podcasts for your consumption, and we’ve also started our own.

Sound can transport you to a place, paint an image or evoke a taste. So much of how we experience life depends on sound. It’s no wonder that sound can add so much to a story.

Besides that, sound is a helpful alternative for obtaining news. During a busy day, taking time to read articles is tough. With audio, all you need do is press play to keep up on important stories while you continue doing the work of being human.

With that in mind, Great Lakes Echo is hosting some informative podcasts aimed at keeping you abreast to environmental news in the Great Lakes Region.

Our podcast, called “Echos,” aims to use sound to transport listeners to where the stories are happening. Listen to our first episode.

The other podcasts we’re hosting are as follows. Click the names to start listening.

And you can always check the podcasts page for the newest episodes.
