Campaign targets pollution in watershed

It’s safe to say most of us take for granted that when we turn on our faucets, clean water comes out.  But where does our drinking water come from? How clean is it? And how much responsibility do we, as individuals, have to ensure that our water stays clean?

Rachael Loucks is the Watershed Coordinator for the Eaton Conservation District. She’s leading a new campaign called “Pollution Isn’t Pretty” to raise awareness about how our behaviors impact drinking water.

Loucks says the campaign aims to spread the word that  we are connected to our water resources no matter where we are. It helps when people pick up their pet waste or wash their cars on the grass rather than the driveway.
