Every Monday Great Lakes Echo runs video clips of random people answering questions that experts believe environmentally literate citizens should understand. In the last clip an expert explains the correct answers.

This week’s question is “Why should we recycle?”

This week’s expert is James Ives, director of Recyclemania at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich.

RecycleMania is an annual eight-week recycling competition between more than 600 colleges and universities across the United States.
