Echo showcased the photography of Mark Schacter in our Flash Point feature last August. Next month, Schacter’s book “Sweet Seas. Portraits of the Great Lakes” hits bookstore shelves with its collection of 160 Great Lakes photographs. Check out the preview below.

Schacter, a native of Thunder Bay, Ontario, specializes in landscape and industrial photography. For his book he traveled throughout the Great Lakes region by both land and water, sailing lakes Superior, Huron, Erie, and Ontario aboard the Canada Steamships Line freighter “Mapleglen.”

Published by Fifth House, “Sweet Seas. Portraits of the Great Lakes” will be released mid-November.

More work by Schacter can be found at his website, Lux Et Veritas.
