A new map by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources identifies which areas on the Ohio Lake Erie coast that could be lost to erosion over the next 30 years. Areas predicted to erode more than 11 feet are labeled as designated coastal erosion areas in the map.

Finalized last month, the map measured coastal erosion data from 1990 to 2004. These numbers were used to make three-decade predictions. The Department of Natural Resources has collected coastal erosion data since 1988.
