People and businesses who profit from OUR natural resources need to be watched carefully. Looks like a little more carefully perhaps. I would like to see the math on price per lb of fish taken over the quota vs. the fine levied. These numbers are far far apart I suspect.

The 10,250 fine is twice the value of the fish.
The price per lb is $1.50 for yellow perch ,$1.50 for walleye. and .95 for whitefish. in total that is (560kg = 1234lbs @1.50 per lb is $1851.00 for walleye) (643kg = 1417 lbs @ 1.50 per lb is $2206.00 for perch) (493kg = 1086 lbs @.95 is 1086 for whitefish) the total is $5088.00 cnd .
