Dow’s Powerhouse Solar Shingle named a best invention of 2009

(MI) Saginaw News – Joining the ranks of inventions like a new NASA rocket, Tweeting by thinking and an edible sports car, the roof shingle that doubles as a solar panel, came in at No. 13.

“The introduction of the Dow Powerhouse Solar Shingle exemplifies Dow’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions to the world’s most critical challenges,” said Jane Palmieri, managing director of Dow Solar Solutions, in a press release. “This groundbreaking technology will make affordable renewable energy a reality now and for future generations.” More
