Boaters warned of killer virus
(MI) Detroit Free Press – Boat owners are being urged to disinfect their vessels when transferring them from one lake to another to avoid the spread of a virus responsible for killing hundreds of fish.
Viral hemorrhagic septicemia is suspected in fish kills across the Great Lakes, and officials worry it could spread to inland lakes on the bottoms of boats if owners aren’t careful. More
