		<description>Great article but I&#039;ll have to disagree with several of Mr. Schwartz comments.

1. That &quot;renewable-energy homes aren’t being built in the state yet&quot;. We have 3 renewable energy homes completed, 2 under construction and 15 in design all of them to LEED for Homes certifications.

2. That “Those are going to be more expensive homes&quot;. The home I&#039;m giving the link to below was built very affordable, before the $22,000 in tax credits that this house qualified for, the cost was at $136 a square foot. There is nothing on this house that is not custom and it also has geo thermal, solar hot water system, and almost 4kW of PV Solar. After the tax credits, the house nets about $126 a square foot. This is about the same price if not below what most builders in the state are building standard homes for.

3. That “We just won’t have the technology to do that in the next 15 to 20 years.” I disagree we are putting these technologies on all of our homes now. I know of several other architect&#039;s and builders in this state doing the same thing were doing.
